"95% done...but we still need to raise money"
Children began participating in programs in the new and remodeled facilities in early December 2009, while finishing work remains to be completed in some spaces. At the Grand Opening event on December 15, executive director Rev. Tracy Holladay told the standing-room-only crowd in Holladay Hall (named by the board of directors and former board presidents in honor of Holladay's 25 years of outstanding service to The Cabbage Patch) that "the facility is about 95% done, and will be complete soon, but we still need to raise additional money to avoid long-term debt service that will hamper our ability to offer programs and services to at-risk children and families."

The Cabbage Patch's $6 million Capital Campaign isn't just about bricks and mortar. It's about building for the future - making room for children to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. From the foundation of this new building will come "foundations for life."
To date, over $4.8 million toward the $6 million goal has been raised in pledges and gifts, largely from individual donors and foundations. The project is not being funded by any government sources - city, state, or federal. Additionally, the goal is to complete the project without incurring any debt service.
Given the current economic challenges, these goals may seem lofty. But the Board of Directors is committed to meeting the challenge, collectively pledging over $500,000 toward the campaign. With your help, together we can ensure that The Patch has the expanded and renovated facilities needed to provide future generations of at-risk children and families "Room to Grow."
