The holiday season has begun, bringing with it tidings of peace, joy and gratitude. As the hustle and bustle of Christmastime arrives, some find themselves in the challenging position of needing a little extra help, while others are searching for ways to help others. The holidays can be particularly stressful for the families who are served by The Cabbage Patch. As you look for ways to get involved this season, here are five ways that you can support The Cabbage Patch:
1. Help to Restock the Food Pantry
The Patch food pantry supplies food and household items to families who face an increased level of need. We need help restocking these items as they are distributed out so we can continue to assist with the needs of our community. Please consider donating toward this effort, using the list below.
Items with an asterisk (*) are most needed.
2. Christmas Card Honorariums
What Christmas gift do you get for the person who has everything? Consider honoring them with a gift to The Cabbage Patch. When you give to The Cabbage Patch in someone’s honor during the holiday season, you also make a difference in a child’s life. The gifts we receive from our Honorarium program, help to fund the programming that is aligned with our mission to profoundly change lives. Plus, the person you honor will receive a special greeting card that is designed by a child at The Patch.
To ensure a card acknowledging your special gift is received by your honoree(s) by Christmas, please make your honorary gift donation by December 13th.

3. Kendra Scott Fundraiser
Sip & Shop with us at Kendra Scott in St. Matthews on December 16th from 2:00-6:00pm. During that time, The Cabbage Patch will receive 20% of all sales!
4. Set up Monthly Giving for 2024
Spread out your gift in a way that’s easy, convenient, and impactful throughout the new year. When you give monthly, you:
· Provide educational tools to students who need extra help outside the classroom
· Put food on the tables of local families
· Advocate for youth needing a safe space
· Provide financial stability for families in need of support
All gifts are tax-deductible and ensure that our members have the support that they need from The Patch, all year long.
5. Follow and Share our mission on social media.
Social media offers a great way to support our cause that is absolutely free. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see our mission up close and share with your network. The more we reach, the more we can teach and welcome others to get involved with our efforts. Together, we can continue to change the lives of youth and families in Louisville.
