For over 32 years, Rev. Dr. Calvin Holloway devoted himself to guiding The Cabbage Patch kids and families through life’s challenges with unwavering dedication and prayerful support. His career began in the gym while he pursued seminary studies. In his early days, The Patch had massive public crowds who came to the gym to watch their children play basketball games.
As time passed, Calvin transitioned to leading the Family Development department, eventually becoming its manager. His role was akin to that of frontline troops, navigating through the hardships of life alongside families’ toughest moments, offering support and guidance to help them to navigate towards stability. Calvin’s mission extended beyond immediate aid; he tirelessly worked to break the cycle of poverty, empowering both children and families to realize their full God-given potential through long-term solutions and a steadfast faith.

In honor of his remarkable career and profound impact, The Cabbage Patch Board of Directors established the Rev. Calvin Holloway Endowment Fund in 2021.
